When Takuya first arrived in Paragon, he didn’t make friends at the Academy. Until he learned to block emotions from his mind, he couldn’t function well socially; after he learned, he was too shy to try. His peers remained strangers to him.
He expected the same when he was apprenticed to a super group, and dreaded living in their base, anticipating being alone there as well. But suddenly Heat Lightning was introducing him to Terecito, who was slurping on a jumbo-big-gulp that smelled like cherries, and agreeing to share his room for a couple days, until Takuya’s was ready, and Takuya was nervous, and worried especially after seeing the utter mess in Terecito’s room, but next thing he knew… when the two days passed, he and Terecito were friends.
Takuya sometimes wondered if Heat roomed them together for just that reason.
