Harrly stood on a stool in front of the stove. To her left was a pot of boiling water. With her right hand she stirred the marinara.
Deepstryker had suggested a way that she could show Simaster how she felt without violating the "restraining order". She jumped on the idea with her usual enthusiasm, instantly pulling her out of her funk. Which, aside from a free meal, was the real reason he had given his "little sister" the idea.
She dropped the spaghetti into the boiling pot. The scalding water quickly spilling all over the stove.
"Where's a towel?" asked 'Stryker.
Harrly waved the spoon in her right hand at the cabinets on the other side of the kitchen, spraying red sauce everywhere. "Over there."
"Stryker handed her a towel and she started mopping up the pasta water on the stove.
Unfortunately, that put the towel in range of the gas burner. In moments, the towel was aflame.
Thinking probably too quickly, Harrly grabbed the fire extinguisher from the wall and sprayed the stove top with its dry powdery contents.
Shaking his head at the ruined dinner, Deepstryker said, "Forget this mess. Where's the number for Domina's? Let's order pizza."
