What Miles just did was completely unexpected. He had never done anything like this before.
Now he stood there, staring at her face. Him just as shocked as she. Tears running down both their faces, visually showing, to whoever might walk in through the door, that something terrible just happened.
He stared at his hands. Never once before had he hit a girl. And he couldn't believe what he had done. He turned around and walked out of the house. Leaving Kate behind with her tears and the shock of what just happened.
He would never stop apoligising to her.
