Seiichi -

I suppose Genichiro forgot yet again, but considering his son is now almost three months old now, I suppose he has a good reason. They named their boy Gennosuke. And I've just joined the club as well. Mizu gave birth to our son a couple of days ago. I'm not sure how I feel about continuing this trend, but his name is Rentarou. Mizu said at least one of us will answer if she calls "Ren." I sometimes wonder why I married her, but then I remember all the good things. 'Tarou is only two days old and so tiny. It's so fascinating and a bit scary as well. Rosa's due at the end of the month, right?

- Renji

Seiichi held his three week old son as he read Renji's email. He had to laugh a little at the Yanagi's choice of name for their son, even though he was guilty of the same thing. Seiji just made baby noises while his father read the email out loud in Japanese to him.

Rosa leaned against Seiichi's back. "I love hearing you speak in Japanese. It's so melodic." She took Seiji from him. "Though why teach it to Seiji? Not that he understands at the moment."

"It never hurts to know another language." Seiichi said. "And he might wish to speak to his grandparents once he can speak." He smiled as he turned to type a reply.

Renji -

I'm sorry, things have been quite hectic here. Rosa had the baby a month early, and it was quite dramatic as we weren't sure if either her or the baby would make it for a couple of days. They're both fine now. Seiji is just over two weeks old, and doing wonderful. He was born on the 29th of January.

I almost feel sorry about leaving Japan. Another generation of the great demons of Rikkai would be interesting, wouldn't it? It's not to be though. We closed the book on that, and as much as I'd like to see my son follow in my footsteps...
Graduation really was the end of the glory days, Renji. Our boys won't have what we did, nor do the same thing we did.

- Seiichi
