If Anders didn't know better, he'd have said there was magic in Hawke's touch. How else could every brush of her hand on his arm, every bump of her shoulder against his drive him so utterly mad? When he was near her he couldn't think, could barely breathe, all thoughts of mages and freedom and justice far beyond his reach. It was thrilling and terrifying in equal measure and he could not begin to understand it. He almost wished he could blame blood magic, could accuse her of having him under her spell. At least then this distraction - this weakness would not be his fault ( ... )
