I don't quite understand your GPA grade system as I never read an explanation. Out of interest how does it work? :)

1st = A
2:1 = B
2:2 = C
3rd = D (I assume).

Oopsy. I was applying for a job and put down my GPA as 4.00. Is that good or bad? Because I average a high destinction and I *thought* that was 4.00.

Ah, okay, I see how that is.

Ours is on a "GPA" (Grade Point Average) scale.
A = 4.0
B = 3.0
C = 2.0
D = 1.0
F = No Credit

You add .3 for a "+" or subtect .3 for a "-". Eg. an A- would be a 3.7, a B+ would be a 3.3, etc.

To calculate the overall GPA, you just average all the point values of your classes. Say you got an A and a C, each in classes that are three credits:
(4.0*3 + 2.0*3)/6 = 3.0 overall GPA
