Strange...
I was working late in the lab, when a full-torso free floating apparition just appeared! It was small, about the size of a child, with curly hair, and holding a scythe. I've rarely seen an apparition with such strong definition. It was mumbling something which sounded like, "Firss, no obit, an' now I'm a lab rat fer some crazy blue wizard! It jes' gits worse an' worse!" So I grabbed my field kit, just as it seemed to notice me there. It spun about and floated through some sort of strange blue mist, and I followed, trying to get a reading. Next thing I knew, I was chasing it through someone else's lab (Bio lab - messy autopsy in progress, and what looked like the remnants of someone's lunch, not much in the way of equipment. Definitely not anything near my own lab.)
I chased it outside, through several paths, and finally lost it when it floated off a cliff, apparently trying to lure me to my death. I wound up in a garden belonging to a resort of some sort.
Odd resort, they can't tell me where in the US I am, but when I told them I didn't have any money with me they took a bottle of cough syrup I happened to have in my kit as payment for a two week stay.
