Darn those video games!
After I finally found a slot to deposit my car on campus this morning, I took a casual walk toward my work building, as usual. The sprinklers on the front lawn of the aquatic center were merrily doing their job. Without the gusty wind to fend them off, their shots easily reached the sidewalk and beyond. I suddenly found myself in a typical video game scenario -- I wanted to proceed on the sidewalk but I needed to do so safely, without being sprayed by the two unsynchronized sprinklers. I timed the intervals and managed to dodge both of them. Woo! Then I began to curse. Since when did I start thinking in terms of video games? >_
