HA HA HA...

Two years ago, just a couple days before the fourteenth, a bouquet of red roses was delivered to my condo and I was most surprised to have received it. It was my best buddy Pocchan thanking me for being a friend. It was very nice of him.

Now, I finally had time to check today's mail after doing grocery shopping. No, there wasn't any red rose, of course! What were in the mailbox were a card and a box, both from one of my most valued old friends. The card is a Valentine's Day card, which surprised me very much. The box contains a few little gifts for the occasion, which was a first. I think this was just saying that he felt bad for disappearing on me since last summer and not sending me anything for Christmas. All I care is that I did not lose his friendship like I thought I did.

What's the lesson of the day? I should not lose faith in some of my friends. When they suddenly disappear for months, it does not necessarily mean that they don't think of me or that they don't value my friendship. They have their reasons. Those true friends will come back, explain, and talk to me again. Perhaps, just perhaps, I have been slightly on the paranoid side.

What's another lesson of the day? I shall forget this lesson tomorrow and go back to my paranoid way.
