In which one Guardian must face her worst nightmare, and Az Spyre finds herself putting much more than her own Guardianship on the line for the Tests- namely, her life.
Um, yeah. Really sorry for the fancharacters... they need development and histories, though. There are some official characters too, but they don't have as much airtime. And don't worry, this is once it a blue moon that I focus more on FCs than the official characters.
Part 2 (Or chapters 2 and 3, rather, since I had to split them up to upload them because they were too big) deals more with the theme "falling from grace" - as the two (as well as others, actually) begin to slip up, not just make mistakes, make very big, bad mistakes, and have to fight against the weight and pressure of everything - not just the conflict and villains they're dealing with. Az's two tests, each one, little by little, getting progressively worse, and Eliza struggling with the task of protecting herself AND a very bratty/annoying/snotty Limrik from RK.
The full fic is up now.
Knuckles and RK have rather big roles, but only as supporting characters.
As usual, reviews are appreciated, be they negative or positive, but if you're only going to nag about my use of fancharacters, please don't bother. I know I use them too much, but I would like the readers to learn about them, and to round them so that they will be interesting and not horrible Mary Sues :3
And I went to lengths to write in layman's turns, so even people new to the series can read and understand.. hopefully, everything, so don't be intimidated, plz ^^; if you have any questions be free to ask. But I really would like opinions, negative or positive.

And oh yes, when Az does reveal her feelings for Knuckles - I assure you, it is the absolute worst possible time she can. *laughs evilly* Yeah, that's all I'm saying :P
