Please check out chincanery's post on information about the earthquake that hit Haiti and ways to help. I donated to Partners in Help, and I believe chincanery did as well. There are plenty of charities to chose from.

If you can spare the money, I encourage you to donate. The death count is estimated at somewhere around 100,000 people. May be more. As far as I know, the earthquake was completely unexpected, the worst they've had in 200 years, and Haiti was not at all equipped to handle it.

I don't even know what to say. My thoughts and prayers are with them, and anyone who has family or friends there.
