1. He has a deep-rooted fear of failure. He loses it when he fails at anything. It’s not just his ego.
2. When he’s angry with someone, he’s passionate and he holds a grudge. He will never let the subject drop (and get progressively more and more nasty) unless he manages to calm himself, or someone forces him to drop it.
3. Though he’s a massive flirt, he gets pretty hissy about other men being around Sally and giving her attention.
4. He feels that manipulating someone’s trust and using them as a pawn is the worst thing that can be done to someone.
5. He gets very depressed if he can’t run.
Shadow
1. Hates Knuckles intensely, partially because Knuckles held onto his morals and never blamed anyone else for being under Robotnik’s thumb and the misery that that ensued (While Shadow did.) And also because while he is Robotnik’s “pet”, Robotnik’s pretty much using him to replace Knuckles.
2. He blames Az for his slavery to Robotnik, but at the same time is infuriated by the fact that she blames herself for it. He claims to hate her and Ray, but deep down, doesn’t. (Though he has no qualms with hurting either and treating them like crap.)
3. At first he was fascinated by Rouge because he thought she didn’t care about anyone, and he admired that - and before he realized this was not so, he had grown attached to her.
4. He can’t stand the memory of Maria, and resents anyone who reminds him of her. He also treats them quite horribly.
5. It wasn’t until he lost Ray to Metal, who “turned him into a monster” in Shadow’s eyes until Shadow really became as ruthless and cold as he is today.
