ah... which class is that for? ; A ; I mean, I saw your Christmas bag illustration put up as an example in Illus 2 class, I didn't think that our school was that strict on styles...
ooh it's digital portfolio class. uh...it's all depends on who teaches the class. I once went to a workshop in my first year and got criticized on my style. [haha at that time it made me wanna quit school so bad] But from my experience, anime & manga style is treated like 2nd class art =_= it's kinda sad.....
and all my classmates are doing all witches and dragons and got complimented....
i heard a lot from my friends about art school killing their love for drawing! ;__; so scary!!
and i miss your drawing a lot!!! ;O; so happy to see you drawing again sometimes >w< ♥ ♥ they're always so nice to look at because you always have positive aura in your drawings *__* ♥
DRAW THE NEW SANJI AND ZORO EEEEEEEEEEEEE XDDD ♥ !!!!!
yes....I wanted to stop drawing and quit school because of that. /___\ to be honest, I lost my ambition to draw already. [is trying to bring it back] may be after my graduation haha T________T!!!!!!!
OMG!!!NEW SANJI IS SO HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss drawing one piece fanart too!!!!!
PS. Your Ben Barnes icon on twitter totally kill me...sooooo moeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I know...and some of my classmates were saying they had no comment because they don't watch anime or read manga. C'mon...seriously, you don't need to watch anime to enjoy art. Were there any rule about that? I wanted to tell them to stop treating this art style as 2nd class kind of art already.it's really stressful. I'm also trying hard to emerge my style to western comic book or decorative art. Y_Y....sorry for renting....I hate this kind of people so much.
gaaaah D: I totally understand! *hugs* It's like they refuse to properly critique it because it's 'anime.' I've been also trying to change my style to suite a more western aesthetic, but it is so stressful because it's not how I really want to draw ;o;

I feels your pain D: I get "anime" comments a lot in class, even when I try to westernize my style ;o; and it's never meant as a compliment.
