Assembling my new PC

...for some days i was without computer at home, here show how i assembled the new one that i have now :-)

the basic features:

Processor: Intel Pentium IV, 3.4GHz, Bus 800Mhz, 1Mb L2 Cache, Hyper Threading
Motherboard: MSI P4N SLI
RAM: Corsair DDR2 PC 533 MHz, 1 GB
Video Card: ATI Randeon RX300 HM, 128 MB
Hard Disks: IDEs, 7200 RPM, 80 GB, 40 GB, 40 GB
Power Supply: 600 Watts, 24 pins, 6 connectors

The first is be well informed about the main devices, and the features of every thing, read it and understand very well the manuals. The second is be careful and take the basic cares: static electricity in the hands, dont left the glass of Sprite around!! etc, etc.

Step 1: the cooler and the processor




Step 2: the motherboard




Step 3: the processor in the mainboard




Step 4: the cooler over processor and connected in the mainboard




Step 5: the power supply into the case




Step 6: the mainboard into the case




Step 7: the memorys connected in the dimm slots




Step 8: the video card connected in the pci express slot




Step 9: all the hard disks, floppy disk and CD-ROMs insure into the case and connected to the mainboard




Step 10: the PC turn on!!!




Of course is necesary too connect all the wires in the appropriate places, the power suppy, turn on, reset, lights, frontal fan, rear fan, etc. and then if all is ok, the new pc will work good.

The software that i will install:

Microsoft Windows XP, SP2
Microsoft Office 2003
Microsoft Encarta 2006
Borland Developer Studio 2006
Borland JBuilder 2006
MySQL 5
Lightwave 8
Maya 7
Bryce 5.5
Photoshop CS 2
Premiere Pro
Sound Forge 8
Dreamweaver 8
Roxio Easy Media Creator 8
Games:  Doom 3 ROE, Quake 4, FIFA 2006 World Cup, Age of Empires III, Black & White 2, Call of Duty 2, Need for Speed Underground 2

and maybe other things, always careing that the programs dont load rubbish!!! in the RAM.

...and of course, Linux!!!!!!!  distro Suse version 10
