Done with homework before midnight?!?!
Well here we are half done with the week and I'm ready for the weekend (as I am sure all you wonderful people are also). But a wonderful event has occurred today - I finished my homework BEFORE midnight! I've been staying up until 1-2am every night doing homework so this is a special treat for me! :) I got my lab all ready for chem and all my psychology read for my quiz tomorrow. So I'm in grand shape...
Campus band chair placements were yesterday. I had to compete with like 20 other trumpet players, all of whom seemed good (or at least competent :) ). I wound up earning third chair - I'm thrilled and disappointed, you know how I am :) - placing over all the people who are in marching band (!). The second chair is a 22-year old 5th year nursing major so thats not bad that I'm under her, seeing as she's had like 4 years more experience than me. The first chair is some guy who I think might be a freshman but I'm not sure, to be honest. Oh well, no big deal - I might challenge if possible, but then again I might not... so long as I'm still eligable to audition for solos :). But the class seems fun, and the music actually is not rediculously easy. We played for about 20-30 minutes and I personally thought it sounded quite good. I look foward to the coming rehersals.
