I moved.
I moved into my grandma's house to take care of the place while she's been put into a nursing home. Technically, the house has always been mine as part of my parents' divorce settlement, but so long as my grandma has been living there, it's been hers. Now, though, she needs constant medical care, so she's in a home. Now, there's still a chance she could move back in. Granted it's a small one, but still. Also, it's not my swinging bachelor pad, as my Tia Lydia is also staying there so she can be close to Grandma's nursing home. But it's mine. I am lord and master of it. I'm getting the title officially put under my name and have paid the taxes for it.
Go me.
I've got a degree, a house, a car, and a career. Seriously, all I need now are a wife and kids, and I've got life sewn up into a nice little bundle.
(That's the tricky bit, isn't it?)
Also, the house is pretty out there, to the point that every High Speed Internet provider I've asked has said that the they don't reach. Maybe there's a DSL provider out there who'll come out, but I think we'll get it soon, like in a few months or so, so I'll hold out.
If anyone wants to come visit me on the Rio, give me about a week's heads up, and I can ask my Tia to actually stay at her house for a weekend, and then it will be a swinging bachelor pad out in the middle of nowhere.
