this has been a very grim year. A coworker of mine died on Saturday from complications with a stomach surgery. She was retiring in two weeks, her retirement party was supposed to be this wednesday. my boss was in tears all day. Its weird to have just worked with her last week, talked about the weather and the news or whatnot and then say hey i'll see you next week, but you don't. she was a very nice lady, she didn't deserve to die in such a way.
