Done with school
So, I finished medical school last week.. I have to say that I have been looking forward to this time in between school and residency for about 4 years, but right now it isn't nearly as nice as I thought it would be. I'm nervous as hell waiting for the results of the 'match' which will decide if and where I have a job in July. Right now I have nothing to do but sit home and worry about this until the results come out on March 20th.
My top programs to match at are here in Detroit because I didn't get any interview offer from the program in Portland or Seattle. My other possible matches are in greater Detroit area as well as Syracuse, Buffalo, Albany, and Rochester NY. Also, 2 in west virginia, and I went to a random interview in Columbia, SC. If all goes well, I will be delivering Detroit babies in July.
Nikole and I are going back to St. Maarten the beginning of april for my graduation. It should be really nice to see our friends that we made there and havent' seen in basically two years. Also, its been a frickin cold winter in Detroit this year so it will be nice to be warm.
