A Decent Game
I admit it, I watched more than 1/2 of the Superbowl. And for once, it didn't disappoint, though I didn't actually start watching until 6:15 PM in order to miss nearly all the overhyped pre-game crap. As for the game I was favoring the Colts who IMHO are still the better team. But it was the aints Saints who were looser and more willing to gamble who eventually took charge of the game.
At least now NOLA has a WINNER - more than I can say about hapless Buffalo-land.
Who Dat?
The night of the Superbowl often has other surprises. In addition of getting some decent 'sky time' and Mars imaging runs (clear skies during the BIG Night - go figure!), deals can be got on EBay if you are willing to look.
This is my 'deal' - an emperor
Tiberius "tribute penny" or denarius. Made famous by the quote: .."render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
These denarii are rare enough as it is, but coupled with this famous quote they are also more expensive.
Last night, due to decreased competition (Thanks Superbowl!), I picked one up for less than 1/3 the normal price.
A great game, good astro-shiny time and a 'steal' off of EBay makes for a happy doctor. (Plus taking off a personal day doesn't hurt, either).
So f-list, what did you do for the 'Superbowl'? Did your team win? (Or do you even care?)
