oh man!!!
last night i want to see GOLDFINGER!!!! hands down, the best concert i've ever been to!!
i went with ariel who i haven't really seen since before thanksgiving break, so that made the night a plus as well.
we met at the mc donalds by fenway since the club that goldfinger was playing at was...right next to fenway. i got there about a half hour before relldogg and since it was warm out during the day i didn't bring a coat since i didn't feel like holding/ carrying/ check one, plus i knew i was going to get all hot and sweaty anyways. so when we left the micy d's i found out it was raining and the warm springish air had been replaced by...well, new england weather. so the walk to the axis was very cold and wet, but i didn't care cause after 7 years, i was finally going to see goldfinger!!!! since the axis is not the biggest club in the world, it was more like someone's basement just with a better sound system, gf's tour bus was right infront of the club. while waiting in the frezzing rain, i was gazzing in the tour bus to see if i could catch a glimps of john feldman (pop quiz hot shot, john's cusin goes to AB, who is it...or shoot the hostage) anyway, out of no where, feldman jumps out of the bus in the pooring rain and some guy next to me yelled "feldman you're the man!!" and modestly relpies "thank you" and continues running down the street...i don't know where i was going with this.
the opening bands sucked and a half...as most do, but as soon as 'i'm down' started, i forgot everything about the two other bands. oh man, so good. i sang every lyric of every song, even the german part of 99 red balloons. kelly, the bassest, noticed i was going crazy during one of the song, so he gave me the international sign of stroking ya cahck and i took it like a groupy. i sream and hollered and threw my panties at him...no i'm kidding, i didn't scream :P the best part of the whole show, was getting to go up on stage and sing mable with about 20 other people. back track a sec, when feldman told everyone to come on the stage, i booked it. i put my foot on the edge of it, grabed a gaurd fence and tried to pull myself up until i realized that someone's arm was in between my legs....low enough so it wasn't touching anything ya sickos. so i kinda had to gently "nudge" this arm out of the way so i could get up and i guess one of the security guards saw me do this and tried to grab me, but i was cleaver enough to slip away, they call me patty "tater salad" o'brien. as soon as i got up there...after the guard thing, the heat and low oxygen hit me hard, i felt like i was going to pass out and i forgot the lyrics to the song except the chorus...cause it was sooooooo hot. i even ripped the mic out of some kids hand and started singing. at this time, it was either me or the kid who i pulled the mic away from, but one of us sept on one of the foot peddles for bryan(lead guitarist(foot peddles control the sound of the guitar from distortion to what ever hippy sound you like)) anyway, bryan pushes me and this other kid out of the way. i fell back, but the other kid had to stage dive or fall to the ground. it was an awesome time. even if you've never heard of goldfinger, you should go cause they do the best show ever. i only paid 16 bucks for a ticket, but i would have paid much more for it.
and their new cd is awesome, go get it!!!!
