The British government just repealed the Magna Carta, or at least the Habeas Corpus bits passing legislation that allows for people to be held without charge for 42 days. Given all the trouble they had to goto to get the principle accepted in 1215 it all happened with surprising ease as not enough Labor backbenchers had the moral fibre to cross the floor. It seems that The Sun is more powerful than the assebled Barons on Runnymede.
