Bless you who made no mistakes in your life...

...Be careful of stones that you throw.

Hank Williams apparently said that, a long time ago. So Mick Harvey of the Bad Seeds tells me.

His album, One Man's Treasure, is very good. Not as far out as Bad Seeds stuff, but really... I dunno... Appealing. Twelve stars.

Um... On the 'what I bin up to front', there ain't much. Just workin' like a beast for The Man. It's exhausting all this getting up in the morning and going to an office and sitting down and being expected to do more than just sit there and drink coffee and check your email (although I will admit there's a fair bit of that goes on). This is actually the first time in about a month that I've actually had time to sit down and do a bit o' journalling. As evidenced by the lack of journalling heretofore appearing. Or something.

I'm off to Cyprus in a couple of weeks, just for a few days. It's for Work. Haha.

Which means it's free, although I will have to write up a feature on it. Oh, the hardship.

I also managed to score myself a very nifty watch (Swatch, no less) thanks to the wonderful Leslie, who made it her business, as chief fashionista, to nab me one at a recent launch party. One quibble: it squeaks. I'm not sure why, but rest assured I will find out.

I've been doing stupid things with money lately, ie, exchanging it for all sorts of things I don't need. Like Buck Rogers In The 25th Century box-sets and Prince albums. Yes, I know.

For some reason the new Prince offering, 3121, was released in Ireland last week, although it was supposed to come out on the 21st (3/21 - some sort of Jehovah's witness in-joke probably). So I nabbed it and it's very good. It's not Purple Rain, but then, what is?

I went to see giveamanakick and Berkeley on Saturday night. This stood in for my St Patrick's Day festivities as I was very, very ill on Friday. I still made it into work though. Not for long, but I made it. I'm such a trooper.

Anyway, yeah... gamak are really excellent. So are Berkeley, I would recommend a trip down their websites to see what goodies you can steal. And then go to their gigs and buys their stuff.

I got me a Berkeley T-shirt the other nite too. I've wanted one for a while, but it's only now that I'm a gutter press lackey that I can afford one. It says "FUCK THIS GIG" in big red letters. It's quality.

So much news, so little motivation...

If you like you can check out the Connected website, where you will find some of my most wonderous strange wafflings in the International Round-Up section and some other stuff what I done too. It's a mighty fine mag (plug, plug) and it's free. Look out for it if you're in Dublin, Cork or Belfast. We are everywhere and will eat your mind.

Sorry, dunno where that came from.

Yeah... Toddle off then, you won't regret it.

PS - I now have all of Sandman. I rock.
