Rae smiled at John. He seemed so at ease, carrying the cooler to the beach. How he'd gotten the Athosians to build a small dock here, she'd never know, but it was perfect. She carried some of the folding deck chairs from the boat while Rodney brought the umbrellas. A small glance of concern at John confirmed her worry as Rodney headed for dry land as fast as possible without running. She spoke softly as John came near. "Don't worry, I'll talk to him. Standing in the surf should help. Little steps."
Radek poked out of the doorway, Carson close behind. Rae held out a hand, although all he had to do was step over to the dock. "Come on, love, perfectly safe. Don't worry if it feels like it's rocking a bit, that's just your inner ear stabilizing again. Trust your eyes, not your balance." He seemed quite relieved once on the boards. John tied off the boat and followed everyone onto the beach. They quickly had the chairs and umbrellas up, and everyone was coated in sunscreen under Carson's instruction. Fortunately, it would last a good while, being the waterproof kind.
Rae stood up after a few minutes and starte pulling off her t-shirt. She then removed her shorts, revealing her latest order brought on the Daedalus.
The swimsuit in shades of blue and green suited her perfectly, making her glow and emphasizing the red of her hair. She walked down to the beach and out into the water until it was only up to her knees. Turning around, Rachel held out her hand. "Banzai, come here. Trust me, please?"
