CHARACTER INFORMATION-
Canon Character and Series: Kazutaka Muraki, Yami no Matsuei
In-Game Name: Kazutaka Muraki
Age: 34
Gender: Male
Position & Ship: The Amestris; Entertainer

Appearance:
His bio stats have him around 6’3 with coloring not normal for a human being. His skin is pale and soft. Platinum blonde hair is short and slides over his face, hiding his right eye. His left eye is a silver metallic and his right eye is light blue, -- sometimes glowing as it is artificial with a reptile like slit within it. The scar tissue around it stretches making the eye seem abnormally wide in appearance. It’s connected through the optical nerves and allows him to see just as well as the other eye due to magic. He dresses from head to toe in white, very angelic in appearance. Underneath those clothes on his left side is a long nasty looking scar from an apparent knife wound.

Personality:
At first he may seem helpful. Muraki is seen helping children when they faint to taking care of a sick daughter of a wealthy family business owner. He portrays a skilled, trustworthy doctor who is more than willing to help and regrets deeply when he is unable to help further with their condition. In truth, Muraki only does these things to gain their trust. Every helpful gesture is only done if it benefits himself in some way. He might’ve been kind once before he was pushed towards that path of darkness. Evidence shows that he got tired of helping patients only to watch them die in the end. He sought out a higher power in order to control life and death. Beautiful, deceptive, kind and sweet, his outward personality is nothing but an angel.

Muraki has a unique obsession with antique dolls. This stems from his past and of his mother who he deeply loved, who owned dolls and treated him like one as well. Eyes that reflected of moonlight pools and skin as pure and soft as alabaster, his mother adored him until Saki, his half-brother, came along and stole her away from him. He views everyone as such -like a doll- as they are able to be broken and fixed once more if given the time, only to be broken again. Even the world and everyone around him is a toy, and he can play with them and use them how he wants, given his manipulative nature.

He uses everyone to his own whim, even those he cares about. He begs for forgiveness when he believes himself to be dying after Tsuzuki stabbed him, from Ukyou, his fiancée. His best friend was constantly helping cover up his crimes. Examples are the murders and the black mail, uses of children for organ donors, or making one faint to lure in certain helpful people in order to trust him. The rape on one night of one Hisoka Kurosaki, and the willingness to curse him because he was “simply too pretty to kill quickly,” was one of his most unmerciful tactics. Asato Tsuzuki is one of his captivated interests, both carnally and scientifically -despite having a fiancée-that he uses and torments. Regardless of his fascination with him, he plans to use him for his purpose of reviving his brother.

A master at his profession, Muraki is a skilled surgeon and talented doctor. His reputation helps him portray that angelic doctor only wanting to help those in need. Unless one is able to assist him in bringing back his brother to life so he can kill him himself, or aid him in some way, he considers them unimportant or not worth his time.

Abilities/Weapons:
His only weapons on hand are a long wicked sacrificial blade which he’ll keep on hand or stored away, and his trusted scalpel. Muraki is a master sorcerer, learned young when he was a teenager. Not only does it enhance his healing properties and allows him to entertain the masses, but it is quite effective in battle. While most magic users use elemental properties, Muraki specializes in summoning techniques and curses/hexes.

Spirit Bat- These little creatures may look cute and friendly but in the dark they are particularly nasty. He used one of these to drain the life of a small child in order to make her faint so that he could lure in Asato Tsuzuki when he was passing by. Imagine them as life force collectors. These aren’t his specialty and using them requires very little effort and power. They are fast enough to swoop in, take a bite, steal a little energy and rush off. Quite harmless to a normal sized adult, they would most likely give someone a head rush. Like normal bats, they are easy to destroy.

Kochos- Half bug and half bird, and a tiny mix of cat from the feline like bodies, these chimeras are his main specialty. Twice the size of a lion, they crave human flesh and love it the most. Fast and sleek they hunt in packs. They are capable of flight. Their sharp talon like claws can tear into flesh easily, along with their sturdy beaks, using them to dig into flesh, eating quickly. On most cases, Muraki will summon just one, as these birds are formidable on their own. He can sustain them for quite a while, being his own creation. Beasts of hunger, Muraki must feed them upon each summon or they may frenzy out of need. As long as he remains conscious he can control them. ( http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/67675002/14115442 )

Ooryuu Dragon- These long scaled dragons are extremely fast and have tough scales. They are of high dragon class and yet Muraki has sovereign over them. Muraki can use these for both defensive and offensive purposes. Using even one of these will drain his strength, require rest eventually to recover. These are high leveled dragons of a high class breed. More than likely, one will never see him use more than one at a time. Very wild and aggressive, their means are to destroy. Capable of flight with a body of a serpentine dragon, these dragons are always seen in the air. ( http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/70770281/14115442 )

Muraki is also an “energy vampire”. The term is used loose because while it is not the official term, he does use two tiny canines to prick the skin, from there sapping life force from the bites at a rapid rate. This is seen with Tsuzuki on the curse ship. While heavily injured or in need of recovery, he can put his body into suspended animation, which makes him seemingly dead to the untrained eye, but doing so requires a lot of energy and he’ll need to sleep afterwards, or a good feeding.

His other talents are cursing and sealing and unsealing memories.

While Muraki is able to curse someone to death or inflict a slow crawling illness upon them, he is only able to do so one host at a time. The last person he put a curse upon was Hisoka Kurosaki, but the unfortunate boy managed to somehow dormant the curse, making it unaccessable to use upon anyone else.

Either with or without someone's permission, Muraki is able to seal away memories within a person's mind, making them forget even the smallest detail. Effective for treating trama patients, and given time with the patient/victim, memories are erased for as long as he desires, or for as long as the patient/victim wants to forget them. Any heavy memory can retrigger that memory. Muraki can also unseal that memory that someone has tried to forget on their own, awakening something repressed. He does not need equipment, but it does require a bit of energy to do so. Larger memories would require a heavy dose of energy to repress or awaken. Awakening memories would be easier then repressing them unless it is something heavily hidden in the back of the mind. He's only human and would require pending rest after. He needs to be able to touch their head and cannot do this at a distance.

How well can your character hack?:
Medium skill since he has advance laboratories in which would require complicated measures to keep secret.

Weaknesses:
Even with being a powerful sorcerer, Muraki is still a human. Like any human he is limited by human means. No enhanced speed or strength. He gets tired after exhaustive spells and will retreat to replenish his magical resources along with his own body. If stabbed, he does bleed out like any normal human. While he can heal a little faster, it isn’t instant like a magical healing spell and will take time to recover. Without those summoned beasts he only has hand to hand combat skills to act upon.

He's attracted to things that are pretty, whether alive or not alive, male or female, and once he determines he wants it, he'll do almost anything to get it, even to the point of obsession.

Everyone to him is like a toy. He sees everyone and everything that way.

History:
Muraki was already born unfortunate into the world. While still in the womb, his father had an affair with another woman, creating another child. Muraki grew up though as an only child in the early years, living in Melior with his mother and father. His mother had a deep fascination with dolls and due to his beautiful looks and “moonlit pool” eyes, she treated him as if he was her doll as well. He was her favorite doll. Coming from three generations of successful doctors, Muraki was trained and expected to become one when he grew up. He’d often spend hours alone studying and learning. Like most noble generations of the Muraki family line, he was brought up with the best schooling and private tutors money could buy. Melior was the center of his education, known for its schools and universities. At times, he visits his grandfather in Abantiare, where doctors were needed with so many accidents within the factories. Out of school he learned to treat common cuts and broken fingers even at a young age. With so little opportunity in any other field of work besides doctoring for his family heritage, Muraki was raised and groomed to be as such.

Still quite young, his father returned from a trip to Solare and brought home Saki, his half-brother and with this new brother, he lost nearly his entire childhood. Times were rough and with the death of Saki’s mother, his father had taken him in. His mother and father began to favor Saki more, out casting himself from the rest of the family. In a fit of disgust and rage, Muraki killed his parents. It was only then that he knew that Saki had wanted that all along by driving the family apart, noticing his wicked glee during his parents funeral. When Saki turned his sights to murder him and gain the family fortune the guards rushed in and killed him, stealing his only chance to do so himself. His parents’ murder was blamed entirely on Saki and laid to rest.

Muraki would then move in with his grandfather back to Abantiare for the rest of his childhood and adolescence, where he would learn the rest of the doctor trade. Shortly after his grandfather’s death, he was passed down the family notes and histories. A particular patient by the name of Asato Tsuzuki caught his attention. A perfect physical form. His revenge would have to wait until he was older, but it was now possible. Returning to Melior by the age of eighteen, he attended the best schools and colleges, graduating at the top of his class. His internship advanced quickly and he rose to the official title of surgeon at an earlier age than most. Years went by as life began to pick at Muraki, eating away at him by showing him humanity’s flawed existence. No matter how many times he saved a life, it would always end with their death eventually. He grew bitter.

He started studying sorcery in his spare time, using whatever means to obtain that vast knowledge. With all the tools in hand, he was able to do the impossible. His villainous ways started small, first with blackmail, then kidnapping, turning to arson and murder. His underground trade with the rich grew, prolonging his lifespan with sacrifices under a blood red moon. The rich would do anything for fresh organs. It was only the supply that was needed, and with times the way there were in Melior, it was all too easy. Because of the way life was centered on education in Melior, the uneducated hardly found a job, nor could they afford to feed the children they bore. He had only offered them a way out.

It wasn’t uncommon for husbands to seek work in Abantiare instead, sending money back to feed their families. Widowed mothers from husbands that had died in Abantiare from overwork fueled most of his supply. He was quite disgusted at how easily a parent would sell their children for money when times were hard or unforgiving. Their organs would be harvested to prolong the feeble lives of the rich and ill.

He started to hate everything and everyone, including himself.

Turning from hospitals that wasted their time with saving those that could not be ultimately saved; he chose to surpass those human flaws, reaching more into his sorcery and technology. His obsession to bring Saki back to life in order to kill him himself drove him on. He lent himself out to the rich, becoming a private physician to noble families. They funded his work equally well. When Melior began to dry up of willing victims, he sought more private locations, heading to Bydan. Even as a doctor from Ivona in Vohemar, his reputation upheld him as a formidable physician.

Free from hospital work, Muraki was fueled by his ambition, wanting to grow even more powerful. The island(s) Kropmork-Nahk grew as his home for the next few years. Joining the Fairy Tail, a mages guild, he enhanced his power, learning to summon more powerful beasts and maintaining his energies where he grew in rank to the title of sorcerer.

Moving back to Bydan to continue with his goal he became the private physician for a noble family; The Kurosakis. His father was a mysterious case. While Nagare was healthy enough to maintain ship building, his mind was in distress, often sprouting major incidents of chronic depression, but it was not him that ultimately drew his attention, but his son, Hisoka Kurosaki. The unfortunate boy witnessed something he was not suppose to, and Muraki found him far too pretty to kill right away. He sexually assaulted him, placing a curse of illness on the boy. Too tramatized with his father unwilling to listen and finding no other means to stay, he moved on, leaving the boy to die.

His plan was starting to reach its climax, murders and sacrifices becoming more rapidly normal with each killing. With Bydan abundant with natural resources, it was easy enough to set up a small laboratory underground among the forested area where logging was prohibited. Due to the dangerous conditions of wandering into it, not many treaded there and he was able to work in peace. Every now and then, he’d send a Kocho or two to scout the area, killing anyone that may enter that forest, only fueling the rumors.

His only missing piece was the person in his grandfathers notes; Asato Tsuzuki. Obsession grew with the man, desiring him more each day, both carnally and scientifically. Stalking turned into intimidation, killing those around him in order to lure him into a depressed state of mind, and successfully he was able to kidnap him to his laboratory. The man’s healing skills were impressive and he knew he could use them to bring back his death brother. Unfortunately before he was able to, the man snapped out of his subconscious state and stabbed him in the side, tearing upwards and left him to bleed to death in the burning laboratory fires.

The world knew of the great physician Kazutaka Muraki to be dead, but Muraki had survived. Moving out from the main medical world with a new scar, his existence had become even more flawed. He took to the skies where his life would become more private and less noticeable.
