Fresh from work, Julianna arrived at the pizza parlor in the Village where she'd told Megan Wheeler to meet her. It had been a long day and she wasn't exactly in the mood to shop. Still, the Village was full of unique places - a welcome departure from the over-advertised chain stores in Times Square. She scanned the menu, a hand to the nape of her neck. Her hair was up in a ponytail that was coming loose and her clothes - black slacks and blouse - were rumpled. She didn't care in the slightest - she'd go like that to the damn dinner if she could -- but alas, there was a dress code.

Julianna thought briefly of getting revenge on Liz Rodgers for convincing her to go in the first place, but she knew better - if the Assistant Chief M.E. wasn't happy, no one was happy and work would be miserable. Besides that, Liz was her friend and although she wouldn't admit it to herself just yet, Julianna was excited to be going. It was the preparation she wasn't keen on...
