Hrmmm...I suppose a multi-part response to this would work best.

1) Many Thanks for the Birthday Wishes.

2) Of course you're invited. I haven't had a good chance to hang out with you other than the Molly concert in a long time, and that was too loud/crowded to really catch up.

3) I suppose its a bad sign that you're already planning to show up just to deny a request I made in the invitation. I'll lay this out now so its clear and in the open:

I think you're a good shit, I like hanging out with you, etc. However, if there's one thing in this world that I despise, its being used. If you show up to my birthday party to use me as a tool to create drama with people you don't like, I'm leaving and I'm never talking to you again. That to me would be one of the skeeviest things I've ever heard of, and I'd consider it plenty of reason to break off my friendship with you.

If you show up with the sole intent of hanging out with me on my birthday and helping me enjoy it, as well as enjoy it yourself, then by all means show up. Feldman will be there, it'll be a good time, there should be plenty of things to do/people to see to keep your attention away from people you don't like.

So in the end, its you're call. You're a grown adult, you can vote, you can legally drink, and you're legally responsible for your actions. I trust you to know whether or not you can be the better man and walk away if a situation arises, and I also trust you to decide to not come if you know that you can't. If you betray that trust, then best of luck to you in your future endeavors.

4) If you don't think you can come and not get involved in drama, then I'd love to hang out with you sometime this week. Let me know how your schedule is, we'll go grab a couple of drinks.
