today is monday.. rose comes home tomorrow!
just returned from heiss's house where we gathered and watched BIG. hadnt seen it in a while; it kind of reminded me that i act a bit like my 5 year old campers. but w/e, as katherine says cool people dont loose all of their childlikeness, well those were in my words, but u know. anyway it was really nice just to fall asleep on the couch with everyone, as has been my weekend, low key but nice. on saturday me, ethan, laura, eliza, and anna went to six flags; besides for only getting on 4 rides in the 8-9 hours we were there, it was a bunch of fun. finally got over my fear of roller coasters and went on the biggest and fastest working one, the nitro, as well as an upside down one, medusa, and supermans ultimate flight. it was quite the ultimate flight.. how often do u get the opportunity to get lifted up as u soar through the sky and loops and twists? its awesome. we had the best luck ever too. right after us on superman the people got stuck on the ride, literally right after us. hahaha. also, when we got off the shitty water ride we heard someones boat tipped and a person got stuck. a little minor trouble, but serves them right for going on the ride after we screamed to everyone its not worth waiting on line for. we were exausted when we got back and passed out in elizas room. when i woke up i remembered it was mother bonding day so we got manicures and pedicures and stopped over at the galleria. it was one of our better outings i have to say, we didnt really fight too much.
eliza and jess helped me write the cutest dance ever to Build Me Up Buttercup for my girls' talent show dance. productive as well as fun night, so i was content. today i finally caught up with alexis who i hadnt seen in ages; it was really nice to finally talk to her again, i missed her.
i played my first game of beirut on thursday at andreas good ol' southern night, which was apparently hick more than ugly dress, but o well i tried. i lost the game, but we were 2 for 2 till eric hit a double bounce. i hope people keep letting me play, it did take a while, which is kind of random considering how often beirut is an option. although, im sure i wouldve earlier if i didnt always say i wanted to play in the middle of a game and then walk away.
anyways, that beirut thing was completely a sidetrack. even though its hard having everyone continuously leaving and coming im starting to recognize how much they mean to me; i kind of knew, but im starting to take it less for granted.
im also realizing with people already gone off to college i have little time and a lot to do to prep. i guess that can wait till camps over, but i always pull that kind of shit and its always crazy busy with plans, friends stuff, organizing, summer reading, bonding outings, doctors, etc. and this year i have to shop for my dorm, scrap book, and get music onto my ipod. im getting really anxious about a roommate. well, we will see what happens. better go to bed so i can be rested for my crazy campers.
