Well, not the Girl Who Loved the Swastika herself, but this page does have a mistake someone should have caught. Do you spot it? I thought I had posted a page from the HANSI comic here before but I don't see it.. maybe it's time to add another fifty tags and get it over with to make searching past postings easier.
Anyway, HANSI- THE GIRL WHO LOVED THE SWASTIKA was a 1976 one-shot that hit you over the head and shoulders with its message like a blacksmith beating iron on the anvil. It's so heavy-handed and the excess use of heavy capital lettering adds to the effect to the point where I can see many readers thinking it's the funniest thing they've seen in years. Archie Comics had a long history of Christian-oriented comics, with the Riverdale gang or without, and I don't have a problem with that. Maybe it explains the lack of sex, drinking and drugs among Archie's gang... they're serious church-goers. Why not?
And I know this makes me a bad person and the artist didn't intend it, but that second to last panel of Hansi looks fairly sensual to the point I can see a novice tracing it for home-drawn porn. __
