Lee’s in a foul mood after rounding with Harold, the young know it all irking his last nerve with his constant idiotic questions and in front of patients at that. By the time he’s at Ike’s for the celebration, mainly there because Neela wanted to go and because he feels that Pratt deserves congratulations, he’s more than happy to accept the beer ( Read more... )

Still on edge from her argument with Pratt, Abby whirls around when she hears someone behind her. Seeing Lee standing there, and even she can see he's displeased, she gets defensive again. She throws her hands out in an exasperated gesture, not noticing how loud her voice still is. Now what?

He stares at her for a long moment, telling himself not to make a huge scene here, not here. Their coworkers have all ready seen enough tonight. You're drunk.

She glares at him for stating the obvious, thinking he's being his usual overprotective self. I'm fine, I'm a big girl, I can handle it.

You can handle it? He can't kept the incredulity out of his voice, completely baffled y her behavior. You call this handling it, Abigail? You call *that* handling it? He gestures back at the bar. We are going home. He tells her matter of factly, his tone making it clear that there is no room for debate.

No, no, no...She changes tactics, taking him by the arm and batting her lashes at him coyly. Come on, Lee...it's a party. We need to have some fun! Come on...

He takes a deep breath as she hangs on his arm, her mood swings just another indication of how very drunk she is. I think you've had enough fun for all of us. It's time to go home. He takes her hand in his and takes a step towards the parking garage and his car.

She tugs his arm back, towards the bar. You need to lighten up, Lee! Have some fun, all our friends are in there!

He stands still, frustrated and angry as he looks at her. No. We are going home, Abby. Right now. You've used up all of your party all ready. He steps towards her then, slipping his free arm around her waist, holding her firmly. Car's this way...

Back off, Lee. You're not my keeper. She attempts to pull away from his grasp, her flirtatious tone giving way to irritation and anger.

No, I'm your husband and I'm trying to keep you from making an even bigger ass of yourself. He refuses to let go. Do you want to go back in there and let your boss see what a drunken mess you are? Your coworkers? Abigail, I know rational thought is something of a challenge at the moment, but think about what you have at stake here.

You're the one being an ass! She insists, a bit too loudly. I'm just trying to have some fun!

Having enough of this, Lee lets go of her.Fine. Go...go do whatever the hell you want. Have fun. He swears under his breath. I'm going home to take care of my daughter and apologize profusely to the babysitter.

Fine. When Lee lets go of her she stumbles, though she catches herself before she falls.

He's tempted to change his mind, drag her to the car if necessary. Give me your car keys. You can take a cab home when you've finished having fun.

She fumbles for her bag; on some level she wishes he'd not give up, take her home. She knows she's messed up, but she can't stop herself, and that scares her. Finally she gives up, frustrated, and tosses her bag at him.

He catches the bag after watching her fumble with it, the sight of her so out of sorts and uncoordinated breaking his heart. Please come home with me, Abigail? He can't help making one more plea, actually afraid of leaving her on her own like this.
