I love my wife. I think she is amazing, simply fantastic in so many ways. And beautiful. Very beautiful. She is also just shy of being six weeks post partum. I've said, and I meant every word, that I'll wait until she's ready and able to resume certain aspects of our relationship but in the mean time I think I am going to lose my mind

I'd say I'm sympathetic, because I certainly know what it's like to wait that long after a pregnancy.

But you deserved the smack. And much more. Not feeling very sympathetic right now. I know we've never gotten along extremely well, but I really did think better of you.

A perfectly natural condition. I extend my deepest sympathies. I myself have been separated from my own wife for very long periods of time, but we both attempted to be understanding of each other.
