So finally, here's the meme that's been going around.
These were given to me by Jen....I don't know how to do that fancy putting in the link to her LJ....because I don't know html, or LJ code or anything, haha. I'm a lamer. (Did I just quote KH2 Seifer? I think I did!)
Anyway the five things she associates me with are:
Arashi (嵐), Bleach, Axel, musicals and...Sukisyo.
Arashi - This is a NO BRAINER. Anyone who has even glanced at this LJ in the past 7 months or so can tell I've been obsessed since I got here....well, since Amy told me she received a poster of them from one of the sensei at her school. (For those who don't know, they're a mega-popular male idol group here in Japan....I'll refer to them as a boy band probably, but they're so much more than that.) I also kept hearing "Truth" on the radio EVERYWHERE I WENT. Yeah I'm a new fan and there are many out there that are crazier than I am, but my obsession has grown at an alarming rate. To the point where recently I've been thinking it would be cool if reincarnation actually happened because then I could be reborn as a member of a Japanese boy band, haha. I have problems, I know. Anyway, whether it's listening to their music, watching their dramas, watching their variety shows, or looking up factiods and images online ad nauseum, I love all of the members nearly equally. They're all amazingly different and yet so much the same as far as being cute idiots goes. Amy agrees with me that it's getting hard to rank them, but my current ranking is as follows: Aiba, Sho, Ohno (Riidah), Nino and Jun. I know what you're thinking...why the hell does Riidah outrank Nino and Jun??? That's because Nino has been kinda in the background super recently since his drama ended (not his fault) and Jun....has the worst hair ever (totally his fault). Add that to the fact that I've been watching MAOH in mini marathon chunks and Uta no Onii-san sporadically (plus listening to Ohno's new single for that which is SO CUTE) and you can see I'm experiencing Riidah Rabu for the first time. He was always at the bottom before (except for the first week or two of knowing them when I hated Aiba JUST BECAUSE OF THE RED PANTS HE WEARS IN THE TRUTH VID XD) Now Aiba will never fall off the top. He's far and away the winner of my heart. Okay clearly it's time to move on to another of the five. If this explosion of praise didn't make you understand why Jen picked it, then maybe the weekly Arashi (and now hot Koreans, lol) picspam would exaplain it too. Jen likes Sho btw, just for everyone's info XD Yatta!
Bleach - Okay, as much as it shames me to admit this, I AM STILL WATCHING THIS TRAIN WRECK OF A SERIES. 207 eps and counting, woo! Honestly the same thing happened to Bleach that happened to Rurouni Kenshin. It went on too long. Even Amy admits that the second season was pretty good. Jen, I'm assuming you associate me with it because we USED to watch it together....then you bailed, traitor! (Lol you're clearly the smarter one.) Now I watch it basically to see characters I like doing cool shit....and I am still waiting for Aizen to get his comeuppance. Him and angry blind guy....and Gin who I'm pretty sure is just in it for teh evil. I will not however, EVER forgive this series for the random FILLER ARC that happened in the middle of the Hueco Mundo arc. I'm not even kidding you. A whole arc. That had nothing to do with anything. And it had Lurlichiyo. She can srsly TADW (touch a downed wire, lol).
Axel - Finally a good one, haha. Axel, the best (and arguably one of the gayest) characters in Kingdom Hearts 2. Not only is he a great character, but you can't figure him out until way later in the game....and even then you're still like whut? So he did all that because he was gay for Roxas? (I'd like to pretend they're just BFFs but I can only delude myself so much.) His English voice actor is also fantastic...I don't remember who it is...but he's got some great lines and a sarcastic tone. If there was one Org. XIII member that should've lived, it's Axel.....and if there are two....then Demyx can come too, haha. Jen found out I was in love with him and drew me a graffito....and then I bought a plushie....and then the rest is pretty much history. He's hot too. (Pun intended.)
Musicals - Oh man, do I love me some musicals. Nothing calms me down or makes me happier than a musical....with the exception of being in one. They are by far the best form of theatre in my opinon. If not the most erudite, then surely the most fun and entertaining. In fact last night I watched the first hour or so of 1776. A MUSICAL ABOUT THE FOUNDING FATHERS. What's not to like? Actually playing Ben Franklin in that musical is one of my dream roles (along with Fantine from Les Miserables)....which is difficult since he's a man....but you know. I won't give up my dream! ::pose:: I've only been IN two musicals, Cinderella and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, but I have helped out/been on crew for a bunch of others, so I have a deep love for a lot of different ones. I also can't imagine musicals without thinking of the phase when me and my friend Jessica were DORKILY OBSESSED with Cats. We cast all of our friends in it even....good times.
Sukisyo - At first this one made me want to DIE. I hate this show so much that being mentioned in the same breath is just....unbelievably sad, haha. That said, I can see why she associates me with it. Other than Gravitation and the Fake manga, this is probably the first like...blatantly BL anime I ever watched. And the whole thing is a big friggin' tease! But that's not why I hate it (not the only reason anyway, XD). The characters....are STUPID (Matsuri was the only saving grace)....and NOT CUTE....and there's NO PLOT.....and the characters are only gay SOMETIMES....like during the night, lol. Anyway I named this show "Sucky-show" and Amy apparently told Jen about it, lol. There's the connection.
Well that's about it. Hope you enjoyed it.
Also during the course of writing this...I took a little break to look up Ohno's new song's name since I always forget it....and I found out he's ADMITTED to having a threesome!?!? Riidah! I'd like to say I'm shocked....but I'm not entirely. I'm more shocked that they were both girls...OH SNAP! According to him they were....yeah, maybe if those girls' names were NINO AND JUN! DOUBLE SNAP! I don't know why I brought Jun in on that one....he just seems the next most likely to be gay I guess. But if he were gay with anyone it would be Aiba. Hmm....I don't like where this is going. Sho gets left out of the "member ai" LOL. But yeah, good job Ohno, all I can do is this ::begins a slow clap::
