I know I was pretty cranky (a few days back) about not getting enough reviews, but now my Reviews Page has grown, so I'm back to normal again. However, writing fanfiction or not, I've found 4 great friends-- Vea, Anokam, Guesswork and Cherrichik. I'm quite elated with my "fantabulous" luck ( Read more... )

I'm a great friend? Girl, you are drunk. Or high. One of the two. *grins* Thank you, anyway.

As for SPG errors-spelling, grammar, and punctuation-, you need to get a very thorough beta. In fact, find one who will nitpick it to death. My best friend is my beta and she's absolutely insane about stuff like that.

I offer my help, as well, although I'm probably not very good at beta-ing. *grins*

Having said that, you should know that, often, readers who don't understand "smart" fics put it down to SPG errors-in other ways, they're too dumb for it and can't understand it's their fault, not yours. So...be careful whose review you're worrying about.

Bah. If they can't spell their complaints about grammar correctly, they clearly don't know what they're talking about. Honestly. *eyeroll*
And I don't think I've seen any glaring errors in your fic, so kudos there!

Oh, paranoia about people I know finding my story. vea is my favorite screenname, so if they were to look on FFn, they'd easily find me. I'd change it on FFn, but I can't quite do it. I'm also really fond of the name. :)

Oh, dear Dr. Fawkes. It's this really strict attitude with yourself that makes you a great writer. If a word's spelled right, MS Word won't pick it up, but it may be used wrong in the context. Like "their" and "they're" or "there." I'd be happy to look at spelling, too...if you're cool with that. *hugs you*
