An artists' statement....?
Hmm... I was sitting in my Modern Art History lecture and was listening about the artists' of the Futurist and Constructivist movements.. particularly in Russia during the October Revolution. The artists involved in that time were bad-ass!
It made me wonder what my statement as an artist is. I've never really given myself an oppurtunity to define what I do or mean artistically.
I guess it's because most people believe someone who delves in Tattoo Flash, comic book art and other functional communication arts do not have one (or one that deserves to be heard). But I say that's bullcrap.
I do like comic book art and tattoos. I think both are communicable forms of artistic importance. Therefore, I do have a message I communicate in my personal work.
What that is.. I'm still working on the fine print. :p
Ah well.. I'll have to write some stuff down and lay it out there when I get a concise assessment of what that is. But I know that being constructively crazy will probably be involved in the final draft.
