A spurious music genre - one of loads I put in my interests. Spurious Genres is my job. Very few musicians want to be called 'folktronica', but there's been lots and lots of great records that can easily be called this made in the last couple of years. for example... - grindcore:
A less spurious genre. Funny, bands in the metal / hardcore spectrum don't seem to mind being categorized. My favourite new grindcore band is Mistress. - kick drums:

I listen to Minnie Ripperton as loud as I can at least weekly. I don't know nearly enough (or indeed much at all) about the 70s psychedelic soul era though. It's one of those kinds of music that inverted snobs look down at you for liking because "you only like it to be hip" or something. They are idiots.
