Although... to be perfectly honest with you, I'd trade places with you in a heartbeat. Maybe not forever... but my roots have been screaming to discover their heritage *nods* Next vacation I book will be accross the pond to the Land O' Eyre.
Apparently my family (Boylen) are descendants from great kings of Ireland.

i've been here seven years, and i get bitter and bitter as time goes on.
it's is VERY different to canada.... i think it's only dublin that has poisoned me though. the rest of the country is beautiful.. but for a few quick facts:
• ireland is one of the most expensive countries in the european union
• it also is known for stealth taxes. we're taxed to fuck here!
• there is a binge drinking problem among youths
• government corruption. massive.
a program was even made called "rip-off republic" to highlight the problems in ireland. it was shocking. the government are shitting themselves over it! as if we didn't already know what was going on................

anyway, enough bad talking. ireland is beautiful. just not the internal workings of the place. i prefer my homeland.. but i'm stuck here for some reason!
come see it for yourself! tourists love it .. that's cos they don't have to live here!

ok. first of all you need one word - CORK. CORK CORK CORK. i love it! i have a website with my cork photos on it : www.corcaigh.net (corcaigh is irish for cork)
you would need a good while. and ALOT ALOT ALOT of money.
1. get a car and travel around the coast of the WHOLE country. my fav is from galway down through clare, limerick, kerry, cork, waterford, wexford, wicklow and back up to dublin. i don't like the midlands too much. it's very bland. tipperary is very nice though.
2. things you need to see: blarney stone, cliffs of moher, aran islands, connemara, ring of kerry. you need to go to west cork. totally.
3. dublin: guinness museum. jameson distillery. kilmainham jail. all of the area around where i live (beautiful views) .. there's alot of genealogy places in dublin.
to get a good taste, just bleedin come here for a year! you will learn ALOT! so much to see and do. but you need so much money.
