I want to make a little comment about the medical case in this week's episode of House, because it's bothering the shit out of me: the final diagnosis for the PotW's wife was Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which is actually a connective tissue disease. A very rare (1 in 100,000 to 200,000 people) type is vascular, which would explain some of the woman's problems (including miscarriage, although that's actually a defining characteristic), but she lacked any of the most notable symptoms of EDS. It is vaguely possible that she had EDS and they just did a crap job of explaining, but seriously - come on.
I'm not a doctor, but when my friend was diagnosed with EDS (hypermobile type) I did a good bit of research (not on wikipedia, thanks) and it just sort of irks the shit out of me that they can't be bothered to make a diagnosis sound convincing to anyone who has even a little knowledge of the disease. Or worse, that they just fucking wikipediad it themselves.
More fucking reasons I find TPTB to be complete dickweeds.
