Well!
Here is an update for some of you.
I have, today, started a course to get my SIA Licence. SIA is the Security Industry Authority, and they licence people to do various Security-related jobs. (Obviously.)
Well, today, at the end of the first day, I was told that I had a job interview. For G4S (Group 4 Security), which is rapidly becoming one of the biggest groups in the world.
Now, I also know two things:
1) They are recruiting heavily in the run-up to the Olympics, and
B) They are bidding on the private policing contracts, and are likely to get them.
As I have done the job before, and I have a policework-relevant degree... think I'll get the job?
(It's about time I got some good news.)
