Winter break is over. In a few minutes I'll turn off my computer and pack it up to go back to school tomorrow. Last year I remember being so ready to get out of here. I was jet setting up to Canada to visit friends and then getting back to the city - and I couldn't wait. This year I'm definitely a little sadder about leaving home. It's been a really good break. Last winter break included a lot of fighting and general unhappiness. This break has been completely happy and wonderful. I got to spend a lot of quality time with some of my favorite people, saw a bunch of movies, and had my first drunken parents are gone party. Yes, all in all I'd said it was an extremely successful break. And I'll be sad to go. I'm ready to go back to school friends and the independent life, but I'll miss my family and I'll really miss my friends here. As Liz said, I wouldn't want to leave NYU, but I sure wouldn't mind transplanting a few of my homefriends there. I guess I'm more reluctant to leave now since I know I won't be back for spring break. And May is a long way away. Ah, well.
