Back in the city once more. Thanksgiving was really nice. A little rushed, but definitely nice. Kristen and I just chatted the whole way home and then went our separate ways. I spent most of the break with my family. Wednesday was my mom's birthday so went out to dinner at Legal Seafoods which was wonderful, but then Brendan and Liz came over for movie night. Really nice. Thursday was Thanksgiving. Just the 4 of us this year until we went over to our friends' house for dessert, but that was nice too. I ran 2 miles in the Turkey Chase in the freezing rain that morning so I rewarded myself with lots of Turkey! Friday and most of Saturday were spent at a resort on the Eastern Shore with my family. It was really nice. There were way too many little kids running around the hotel, but it was still really nice. Right on the Choptank River which is in between the Chesapeake Bay and the Ocean. They have this outdoor pool that's built so from afar it looks like it flows right into the river - really cool. I also got a massage and a hair cut at the spa they have there. REALLY REALLY nice. Saturday night I thought about going to Rahul's partay, but decided against it and went and saw Ray with Harry and Brendan instead. So in the end I just saw those three friends and then hung out with my family, but that's really fine with me. It was a short break and I'll have a chance to see more people over winter break.
I feel like I should be more pepped up about my audition on Friday. I mean, I'm sure I'll be excited and nervous and stuff on thursday night, but I think I need to start getting mysefl psyched now. I need to practice tomorrow . . . and Wednesday and Thursday and Friday! These songs need to be so down. And they will be. I hope it's not bad that I'm not auditioning until Friday. But I wanted to wait until after I had a voice lesson. And Josh is auditioning in the slot before me and he auditioned before me last year so I feel like that setup has good karma or something. Let's hope so!
