Birthday Week (In Review)
Last week was fun times that lead up to the birthday at the end of the week. Seeing Beauty and the Beast with my friend was such fun, as you can read all about in the previous entry. It was soo worth the wait I'd had since high school. Saw the Illusionist last week and really liked it. It's a movie you have to see from the beginning for anything to make sense later on. The effects were amazing, how they showed the Illusionist's magic tricks. One notable was how he got a sword to stand on end and for men to come up and see if they could pull it "from the stone." Think King Arthur legend. There were others but I don't want to give too much away.
Tuesday was B's birthday and I sent a cute message to him with two balloons which I hope brought a smile to his face that day. It's always nice to be remembered on your birthday.
Wednesday I got out with my brother to go out walking in the historic part of our hometown. He really appreciated getting out of the house. I however came home with two shirts and two books to read...yay fun.
Found another teaching assistant position to apply for on Friday. It's at a school where a friend of mine works. Was told today that they are going to hire the classroom teacher first and then interview for the assistant. Looks like it will be next week before I hear anything else.
And Saturday..my BIG day. Stinks working on your birthday but I had a really nice day. Just lived it and endured a colleague's attempt to get the guests singing "Happy Birthday" to me. He didn't get too far and even tried again on Sunday. Went out to a favorite Japanese Restuarant for dinner. Food was delicious and came home to cake and ice cream, yum yum.
