I had my first exam yesterday. 154 multiple choice questions. I'm pretty sure that our professor realizes the whole unwritten code of "when in doubt, pick C", because every C answer on the difficult questions were the joke answers (such as "Bum's in Seat's is: C: an XBox game"). I'm pretty sure that I passed though, so that's always a plus.
Speaking of passing, My dog's alright! We didn't have to take him to the vet, but rather created some homemade remedy that was suppose to make him sick so he could pass what was in his system, and because I gave up the old Ipecac habit in the summer of 2003, we improvised with salt and baking soda. An hour and a half later, the dog was alright, and I was able to go see Suessical that night.
To say it was pretty good would be an understatement. I went in with an open mind because so many of my friends were involved, but it completely blew me away. The story is nothing to write home about, but the music and the charisma that the group had (I refuse to use the word "ensemble". Bad memories man!) was indescribable. Christine was awesome as the Cat, and Rachel was flawless in every number she was in as well. And yes, I did enjoy the lesbian poodle.
Recognition also must go out to the girl who played the Sour Kangaroo, because I have absolutely no idea how such a powerful voice can come out of a 14 year old who makes Danny Devito look like Shaq. Also, the kid who played JoJo was really good, and had an understated "...what the fuck" look in his eyes whenever something really trippy happened.
Today I had an interview at the theatre school, where the heads of the program pretty much tell you if you should come back or not next semester. I was quite relieved to find out they wanted me back in January, although I have to work on my punctuality in the morning. I believe that that is yet another sign from God that I should move downtown next year. Or maybe set my alarm clock for earlier, but the Lord works in mysterious ways, so who are we to interpret his messages?!
I got asked to go to a huge Techie party on Saturday, but I'm not sure if I should go, on account of my art history exam on Monday. I'll probably say fuck it and end up going, but I'm pretty sure I'll pay for it on Monday.
Now I have to go finish up my last two papers of the semester. Freedom's so close I can taste it, and it tastes like Alexander Keith's and a Pizza from Quebec. New Years will be pretty shitkicking.
