You know what pisses me off? I mean besides Scientologists, chicks who use the word "like" excessively, and Colin Powell? I'll tell you what pisses me off! Ushering the night before, getting home at 1, setting your alarm for 7 to make sure you get there on time for your lecture at 9, only to find out the fucking professor isn't there!
No notification in our e-mail, nothing. So while I could have been using these two hours to catch up on my sleep, I'm now tired and pissed off (you don't need a mood tag to tell what my mood is today do you?) and typing this out in the library.
Ushering was actually kind of fun though. I worked the concession stand with two girls for the show "Walking on Water" put on by the fourth year performance students. Bonus points because I saw Brian Reaper at intermission and he remembered my face but not my name, which was awesome because the short conversation was peppered with "you" and "dude" and "guy" on his part.
It got interesting(awkward) when the two chicks got bored after intermission and started talking about breasts. Comparing sizes, what they like done to them during the ceremonious groping of the parts, the works. And there I am, turning various shades of red due to the situation I find myself in. Because, honestly, what do you do in a conversation like that? If I don't talk I come off as anti-social. But on the flip side, If I engage in talk of breasties with two fairly attractive ladies and exclaim my love of them, I come across as a pervert, and no one likes to be assigned to work with a pervert in a theatre backstage when all the lights are off now do they?
So I finally decide to speak up and tell them that while I am an avid fan of the breast, perhaps we could talk about something we can all participate in, like the rise of crude oil prices. Fun times all around.
Saw Serenity on Wednesday. One of my top three for this year, that's for sure. I love Joss Whedon more than any man should love another man. If anyone out there's a fan of his, do yourself a favour: read AStonishing X-Men. It's been 12 issues so far and accessible even for people who think X-Men's a gay disco. Whedon knows how to write.
Saturday find me working on a big fucking project with my assigned team and then heading over to Bloor Station for Kristina's party. It'll be good to catch up with those I haven't seen in a while.
Fuck, still an hour before my Stage Management lecture starts. Oh well, I may as well go get a good seat
