I really, really do not feel like working today. I really feel like going downhill skiing.
So some old hag just told me I'm a disgrace to the "female-kind" because I don't support Harriet Miers. Apparently when you have ovaries, you're supposed to support every single female that's ever lived anywhere ever, no matter what she stands for and no matter how corrupt and worthless she is. I didn't know! That pamphlet was missing from my CHICK BOOK. I wonder what else I don't know.
Has anyone else seen In Her Shoes? I highly recommend it. I don't have a sister and this movie really made me want a sister, even though they're pretty horrible to one another in this flick. Don't get me wrong, having brothers is awesome, but it's a completely different relationship. Or so I'm assuming, since I'm sisterless. Anyway, go see the movie. Cameron Diaz surprised me.
Let's see....I had band geek flashbacks this weekend. My friends and I went to see our old high school marching band play, but due to 48 days of consecutive rain, they did not march. They played the music in a gym, which was all right, but not as fun as the whole thing. Plus, have you been in a high school gym lately? Everything is teeny. I had to sit with my knees under my chin for two hours and frankly, that position is only fun in the presence of certain people!
Somehow I got roped into baking for a Bake Sale here at work next week. BUT, I am going to surprise EVERYONE and make some kickass baked goodies. Despite the allergic reaction that occurs when I have to actually turn on my oven, I can bake. And my cookies will not only taste delicious, but they will be the most awesomely decorated too.
Oh, and I think I fell in love this weekend. Ok, so it might be lust, but whatever. Close enough right now.
