Our school is constantly bringing in potential students and their families to tour campus as we are desperate to keep up our rates up and interest peaked. Thursdays are usually tour days, so I'm always on the lookout for parents to pop their heads in while they're being walked around. Today I had not only one but TWO tour groups ushered by my room, and the second time I blushed to hear the secretary (who was acting as guide) say "this is one of my favorites" before she opened my door. Then, before they went on to see a 9th grade classroom, she told them that I was an outstanding teacher and that she wishes she was a student so she could be in my class.
All this while I stood in the doorway holding this:
(YES THAT IS A MANATEE TEA DIFFUSER)
So yes, sufficiently flattered. I think that should keep me going until spring break!
