Oh sh*t...

I can't believe I'm saying this, but...

I HAVE LONDON TICKETS!!!!

I'm flying out the first week in July, and will be there for about 10 days. Holy crap!!

This means, though, that I won't be in the States for the HP Premiere, and I know it sounds silly to want to postpone/alter dates of a LONDON-FREAKIN'-TRIP to see a movie, but I really wanted to see the last film for the first time with my girls. Maybe I can convince folks to go to a belated dress-up rally when I get back, even if we've seen it already, though it won't be as exciting.

But eeeeeeeee, London! The ticket was a lot more than I thought it was going to be; I had found a decent price, but in the three days it took for me to iron out the specifics with my friend across the Pond (with whom I'll be staying and enjoying a ridiculously good time with), the rate went up. I guess it was to be expected, but it still sucks toad toes.

Now I'm going to have to start plotting (er, planning) my itinerary! I'll update later with actual dates, but if I'm remembering correctly, I'll be there from approximately July 7th through the 16th.

Suggestions, folks? I know quite a few of you have been over to the UK at least once. What do I need to make sure that I do? What should my London "Bucket List" look like? I'm game for day trips out of the immediate area, though I don't think my funds will allow for too much travel, at least not for an extended period of time.

Budget tips? Travel "musts"? Places to haunt? People to stalk? Do let me know!

And off I flee now to shower up and snuggle back under my blanket for some reading time. Hurray for NO MORE SCHOOL!!! (...at least until August)

london, squee, travel
