Thank you, Fulbright, for putting me in my place. Making me wait the entire month of January just to tell me that I'm not good enough for their TA program. One more negative in what I imagine will be a long line of them.
But NCUR is a definite. The university is flying us out to Montana in April for the National Conference for Undergraduate Research. Anyone out in that area?
I signed up for the SS/HG exchange this morning, thanks to a reminder from Droxy. None of my prompts were incredibly creative, but hopefully I'll get someone who has some imagination and can make something out of them. I'll be interested to see what I get to work on.
Little Eva is finally starting to walk. It's been a long time coming (she's about a year and a half now by my calculations), but she's making her way up the stairs and starting to wibble her way along on her own two legs. I need to find a nice pattern for baby socks and knit her up a pair to celebrate.
All of my ladies are home --
wildcard_47,
elvenlaughter and
chocoholic47. So good to have them safely on American soil, even if I won't see them until Monday. I've warned Tonks that she has a gigantic glomping to prepare for the second I see her coming out of the airport terminal *rubs hands together* I'm pretty stoked.
Also, we saw some snow earlier this evening. It's stopped now, but we're supposed to be seeing a few inches with some ice before the weekend's up. We'll see!
