dinner last night
todd's parents were in town last night on their way to springfield, ma for the weekend, so we went out to chinatown for a nummy meal at east ocean city. that place is beyond spectacular. mmmm taro duck. todd and i had been discussing trying to gather a small-ish group of friends and heading there for dim sum sometime soon...i've never dim summed there, but if their regular menu is any indication, it's got to be really good. i'm still game for that, but i think it'll have to wait until after may 19.
speaking of may 19, it's three weeks away. exactly. that means that by this time three weeks from today, i'm going to have completed the design portion of my thesis (except for that pesky bit where i have to write a bunch and organize it into a book...but that's nothing compared to the design process, so it doesn't count... :P). more important than that, though, is the fact that it will be my last design review ever. weird. very very weird.
i have so much to accomplish by then, and since it takes forever to produce seductive architectural drawings/models, i basically have to be in production mode starting mid/late next week. i'm scared. really. i think my project is interesting. but is this really it? i remember lilly saying it was all a bit of a letdown, and i have to say...yeah.
m'kay, well, it's back to work for the next hour and a half or so before i head to work the box office for chicago (the musical, not the city).
