work related things
Ugh, so work is actually starting to get annoying. This guy Edwin that works there is the most annoying part. A guy came into my work wanting to buy a puppy. Apparently he had been in there the day before and Edwin showed him a dog. Well, I talked to the Manager to see what we could do about the price and we dropped in down from $799 to $600. Then I asked him if anyone was helping him yesterday with the dog when he came in and he said some guy. I only assumed that was Edwin since that is the only other guy that works at Petland. So I asked the guy if Edwin had went over the warranty or anything and he said no. So I proceeded to go over everything with him. He said he wanted to see if his daughter got along with the dog, so they played together (the dog and the girl that is). And the man said he wanted to get the dog. So I started going over all the paperwork with him, and low and behold Edwin walks in to work. Saying that he was helping the man yesterday. So I told him I would finish up everything with him if he would split the sale with me 50/50. Edwin agreed. So later that day Abbey and I went to the mall to shop for St. Patrick's day clothes and Edwin calls me. I guess he had time to think about our agreement and he went back on his word saying he would only give me 35% of the sale. That really pissed me off.
I talked to the manager yesterday about what happened, and I guess it's customary to only give the second sales person 25% of the sale even though the only thing the first guy did was show them the puppy and the second person waisted all their time with the paperwork. I hate my job, but I only have about two more months of it, and I'm out of there, off to go to Nebraska.
My mom puts it like this; "Edwin is a married man, stuck with that job forever, and you; you are going to go off and do bigger and better things with your life."
She's right. Besides, my life does not have time for petty things like Edwin.
So Clint is coming to visit this weekend, and we're gonna try and go to Disney (weather permitting). So I'll be sure and update you on all the good stuff. YAY
