*beams* What a perfect combination of humour and wist wistfulness. I wish it had been longer, because it was so perfect. Pete's forms, "pro-human not anti-alien", Romana circling six, her ultimate loneliness. I wish there was more, and not in an OMG WRITE A SEQUEL way. I just ... didn't want it to end.

(My own Romanathon fic, three-quarters done and in a bit of a pickle, plotwise, I wish THAT one was over.)

This is lovely. Such a good Romana voice, and such great humor with Mickey and Jake, and then oh! the angst!

squashing that ever-more insistent voice that asked why it was so still, why she couldn’t find the bright flare of her people that would lead her home in one jump.

Oh, that is really great. Some many terrific little moments and touches... Everything being the Doctor's fault, the slogan, Romana picking 6 on the medical experiment scale, and on and on and on.
