Oh oh oh. That was just beautiful. Lovely and perfect and melancholic. Putting down roots and nurturing flowers from dead worlds...oh, so lovely.

And now I am racking my brain trying to figure out where you handwaved Frontios. The bit about going too far ahead in time, I suppose?

This is just hauntingly beautiful, and I can see Nyssa like this perfectly. And your depiction of the Trees is so very good.

I particularly liked this line:

He reached out to help her up and his hand, when she clasped it in hers, was cool and smooth as stone.

Doctor as Melkur? Fascinating.

The line in Keeper of Traken where the Doctor explains the Melkur is fascinating, one of my favourites in the whole series: (paraphrasing) "everything evil turns to stone. Perhaps that's why I've never been there..." Naturally I had to riff off it *g* really glad it worked for you!
